Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15/07/2025
Thank you for choosing Mine Browser ("us," "we," or "our"). This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about the collection, use, and disclosure of personal and non-personal information when you use the Mine Browser application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
a. Personal Information
Mine Browser does not collect, upload, or store any personal information from its users. All data remains local to the user's device unless voluntarily shared for feedback or crash reporting.
b. Non-Personal Information
We may collect limited non-personal information, such as anonymized usage statistics and crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics, solely for the purpose of improving app performance and reliability.
2. Permissions Used
Media Access Permissions
android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES
android.permission.READ_MEDIA_VIDEO
These permissions are requested to enable a feature called Media Showcase, which allows users to view images and videos from their device within the app. Granting this permission is entirely optional and controlled by the user.
MediaStore API Access
Mine Browser uses the Android MediaStore API to save and retrieve browsing history locally within the app’s private storage area. This enables users to resume sessions and navigate back/forward even after closing and reopening the app. No external storage access is used, and all data remains confined to the app's internal storage space.
Foreground Service
We use a foreground service only when a user downloads a file through the browser. This service ensures that downloads remain active in the background. It stops automatically once the download is complete.
Query All Packages Permission
android.permission.QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
Mine Browser uses this permission solely to support the "Open in App" feature, which allows users to open links in installed apps when available.
We do not collect or store any data about the apps installed on your device. The permission is used strictly for enabling this feature and nothing more.
3. Third-Party Websites and Services
Mine Browser is a tool to access third-party websites. These websites may request personal information (e.g., location, camera, microphone, name, email, phone number, etc.) independently.
We are not affiliated with or responsible for any third-party websites you access through Mine Browser.
Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of those third-party websites separately.
You may deny any permission request (e.g., camera, microphone, location) made by third-party websites through browser prompts or app settings.
4. Data Storage
No personal data is uploaded or stored online by Mine Browser.
All data, including browsing history and media content, is stored and used locally on the user’s device using app-specific storage and MediaStore API access.
The only online communication occurs through Firebase Crashlytics, strictly for crash reporting and app improvement.
5. User Feedback
We may invite users to provide voluntary feedback to help improve the app. This is entirely optional, and users can choose whether or not to share any information.
6. User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for any information they choose to share with third-party websites accessed via the browser. Mine Browser does not endorse or take any responsibility for such exchanges.
7. Security
We are committed to protecting your data. While we use commercially acceptable means to safeguard locally stored data, please note that no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page. Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy regularly.
